*Backflow prevention refers to the control of potentially harmful contaminants entering our drinking water supply from cross connections in a customer’s premises or backflow of contaminants into the water supply system. Irrigation and sprinkler systems in the ACT require a backflow prevention device to be fitted to ensure there is no cross contamination from chemicals used to fertilize or treat grass and lawn for pests. These devices must be installed by a licenced plumber.

*Sillis Plumbing are qualified and licenced to perform Annual Testing of Testable Backflow Prevention Devices. This is a mandatory requirement of the ACT Government and in accordance with AS 3500 Australian Plumbing Standards.
